About Moniek Voulon paintings
I live and work in Amsterdam. I started painting after working as a graphic designer in 1990. In 1994, I had my first solo show in Amsterdam at Galerie De Verdieping. In 1995, by ballotage, I became a member of the artists' society Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam. In 1998, I received a basic stipend for two years from the Fonds voor Beeldende Kunsten, Vormgeving en Bouwkunst, in Amsterdam. I made several solo exhibitions from 1994 in Amsterdam and in 2001 two solo exhibitions in Rome, Italy at Gallery Monogramma (article and photo in an Italian newspaper) and a solo at the Business Centre Parco di Medici. From 2003/2006, I organised and curated/participated in three major international group exhibitions in Amsterdam, 2003 and in New York in 2004 and in Amsterdam in 2006.
