Melissa Donne is an Illustrator from the South Coast, UK. Her work is joyful and playful and underpinned by her love of color - she takes traditional subjects such as botanical and food illustration but adds an abstract sense and intricate patterns and details to create something unique. Working predominantly in a digital medium, Melissa starts her designs with inspiration from the environment and then transfers her ideas to her iPad. This is where she creates artwork with often clashing color palettes and textured brushes to produce illustrations with a dreamy and ethereal feel. Melissa is also a surface pattern designer and has seen her artwork licensed on many products including tech accessories, apparel, home decor, stationery and greetings cards. She also works on freelance illustration projects for editorial, packaging and book cover design.
