Hi reader, how special of you to look around my shop on Werk aan de Muur! My name is Isabel and I am a Dutch photographer living in Marseille, France.
During my childhood in Roermond, I already enjoyed beauty immensely, as well as capturing it. As a child without a camera, I did this by drawing a lot. A spider's web with dew on it or a beautiful oldtimer made great subjects.
Once grown up, my love for beauty and history made me decide to study art history in Amsterdam. I enjoyed this study and lovingly wear the title of art historian. Yet a deep need to create myself remained and with the discovery of the camera, a new passion awoke in me.
Meanwhile, I hardly ever leave home without a camera. Discovering something beautiful and being able to capture it in an interesting way fills me completely. Photography is also a great way to combine other activities I love, such as walking through nature or the city, with something creative.
I have photographed a lot with my digital camera, but since buying my dream camera, the Pentax 67, I also work a lot with analogue photography. I also constantly try to learn and experiment with new subjects and styles.
By sharing my works on this website, the possibility of my works hanging on someone's wall arises. What a special thought! Hope you will see something beautiful in my collection!
