About Frank van Es

I photograph to visualise the power of simplicity and stillness. My images arise from a fascination with lines, light and the space in between. I look for moments in which the everyday - a street, a building, an object - reveals something special as soon as you consciously look at it.
Emptiness and contrast are defining elements in my work. The play of shadows and reflections, the use of symmetry and sometimes almost abstract compositions give my pictures a layered atmosphere. I like images that do not reveal everything, but invite the viewer to look longer and find meaning for themselves.
My portfolio shows that I like to work with calm colours or, on the contrary, powerful black and white, often with an emphasis on textures and atmosphere. This balance between calm and tension makes my photography recognisable.
As a teacher and photographer, I want to show how valuable it is to look differently. My work invites you to stand still, see anew and discover the beauty of ordinary moments.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
