Anne-Marie Vermaat has been photographing from an early age but only started taking serious photographs when she became a member of the photo club de Rarekiek in 1999. She prefers to have people and/or animals in front of her lens. She usually photographs intuitively. But also with a predetermined plan. From which a series emerges.
Since 2015 she also started filming, and makes short feature films.
Anne-Marie regularly exhibits and sits on the jury to judge photographs.

the national FIAP (Fédération Internationale de L'Art Photographique). People who participate in international photo competitions are members of this group.
It has obtained the E ( Excellence) FIAP by receiving 150 acceptances from at least 15 different countries. She also obtained the Master title M ( Master) FIAP with a portfolio of 20 photos of the subway in Pyongyang.
In 2015 she obtained the Federal Master Class BMK title.
