About ‘fading lines in a machine’ by George van der Vliet
In the Waterloopbos near Marknesse, there are many interesting relics of machines used in hydraulic work in the Netherlands. A view through one of these machines gives a strong perspective after editing the photo. The lines seem to disappear into the distance. The few colours add to this effect.

My name is George vd Vliet. Photography I have been doing for many years, I work mostly in landscape, historical places and underwater. I have studied history and taught in high schools.
What inspires me is the light and lines in the landscape, the silent world under water and the way I can incorporate it in my photographs.
