A cormorant stands drying its wings after hunting underwater. Cormorants have fatty wings, because fat does not help when hunting underwater. So those wings get soaking wet and have to air dry. I don't know how long that takes when it is also foggy and the air is saturated with moisture. I took the photo at the pond nearby in Purmerend.…
