Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Zijdam in Alkmaar’ by Sanne Maarten Veenstra

De Zijdam is a picturesque street located in the historic centre of Alkmaar, in the province of North Holland, the Netherlands. What makes the Zijdam so special is the breathtaking view of the iconic Waagtoren tower, one of the city's most recognisable landmarks. As you walk through the Zijdam, you will be enchanted by its picturesque surroundings. The street is cobbled and surrounded by charming historical buildings. The view of the majestic Waagtoren dominates the horizon and is a beautiful contrast to the surrounding architecture. The Waagtoren, with its distinctive octagonal shape and ornate bell gable, proudly radiates above the old buildings. A relic from the 16th century, it originally served as a weigh house for traders selling their goods in the nearby market. The tower is a symbol of Alkmaar's rich history and cultural heritage. As you walk along the Zijdam, you can enjoy the lively atmosphere. The street is dotted with cosy cafés, restaurants and shops, where you can relax and enjoy local delicacies. The view of the imposing Waagtoren tower is an unforgettable experience that takes you back to days gone by and introduces you to Alkmaar's unique charm.
