About ‘Yellow walls, Palacio da Pena, Sintra’ by The Book of Wandering

In cheerful yellow, with turrets, galleries and battlements, this is a castle from a fairy tale. This is the Palace of Pena, or the Palácio da Pena and it sits on a hill in Portugal. It was the summer palace of the Portuguese royal family and is located not far from the Portuguese capital of Lisbon. When we visit this fairy-tale castle, we have a beautiful blue sky after a foggy morning. The bright primary colors of blue, red and yellow contrast. The gray stone of the details, all in natural stone, complete it. In this photo in the foreground a colonnade with gray columns and battlements. In the left of the picture a tower in a different design, with purple-blue tiles, azulejos.
