Wood anemones are true spring bloomers. In a few places in the Netherlands, there is a whole carpet of these tiny fragile flowers. They can grow to about 25 centimetres high. The white leaves are 5 to 5 cm long and they have a yellow heart, which always makes me happy when I see them again. They are the real spring bloomers.
I always find it special to photograph them with a macro lens. It offers so many possibilities and I can also really lose track of time when I lie flat on my to capture them at eye level. Time flies by then.
