About ‘Winter on Schiermonnikoog’ by jowan iven

February 2021. After a mild winter it still starts to freeze. So hard, in fact, that the Wadden Sea partly freezes over. Shells are frozen on the beach of Schiermonnikoog. What a bizarre sight. This is a winter we haven't seen in a long time. Very special to be able to experience this.
