Iceland is every landscape photographer's dream. I've been there three times now, but it remains a stunning destination. I took this photo on my second trip to Iceland, in the winter of 2020.
Although the country's name suggests otherwise, Iceland's winters are relatively mild due to the influence of the warm Gulf Stream. But now it had snowed a bit. This mountain was along the coastal road in southern Iceland. Along that road you see many beautiful landscapes, but it is not always possible to park your car along the side of the road because the roads usually run on a high and steep embankment. Here, fortunately, it was possible.
Everything was covered with a thin layer of snow from the previous night, giving the photo a beautiful graphic look.
The mountains in Iceland are not very high but look beautiful. And they seem to be on top of a flat surface, very different from the Alps for example
