About ‘Where does it end?’ by Efraïm De Jong

This picture was taken on Ameland beach where the horse rescue boat is giving a demonstration.

You can very nicely see the calm sea around half past four at low tide (ebb).

What makes this photo so special is that the sun is slowly setting and shining through the clouds. in addition, the boulders that slowly disappear into the sea give the photo great depth, Where does the path end?

This photo came about because I went hiking a lot on Ameland. I started walking around 3 o'clock and made sure I was on the beach by 4 o'clock so I could catch the sunset.

What message am I trying to convey with this photo?
Through the peace and reflections in the small puddles between the boulders, I try to find peace in myself and take a moment to look in the mirror (reflection) at what I have been through and what I want to achieve in the future. When I am on the beach with low tide I experience a lot of peace to be able to reflect on this.

In my spare time I like to take photos, I do this purely as a hobby really so that I have a hobby. This hobby started in 2021 and today it has gotten a bit out of hand. Over the years, I have made considerable investments in lenses and I still enjoy them to this day.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
