Mijn naam is Karen Gijsman,Ik ben in 2001 afgestudeerd aan de Fontys Hogeschool te Sittard, waar ik de opleidingsrichting Publiciteit en Fotografie volgde. Na mijn afstuderen ben ik binnen twee maanden aan het werk gegaan als kinderfotograaf. Dit heb ik tot en met einde 2008 met heel veel plezier gedaan.
