About the artwork

Welcome to the abandoned monastery..... a place where for years no one has been except curious villagers. Sometimes you are passing through and find a place where you can beautifully photograph the beauty of an abandoned place. Normally you just walk past this door, this door immediately caught my attention. The curtains that are still hanging on the door and are half decayed, but still give you the feeling that you are welcome, because the doors are wide open.... what do you find when you actually walk in?
I fell in love with this picture and it shows up even better in black and white than in color. You just keep looking at this picture....

Photo was taken in the Ardennes, Belgium, fall 2021. It was taken at a place that used to house a monastery, and later a nursing home. In the garden you will find a wooden cross, which for some people gives a sense of security, but for others is an addition to an already special place.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
