The Kromme Rijn is a river in the province of Utrecht, running from the Nederrijn near Wijk bij Duurstede to the Stads Buitengracht in Utrecht. At the beginning of the era, the Kromme Rijn formed part of the natural border of the Roman Empire in present-day Dutch territory.
