About ‘Waffle structure on a starting block for swimming’ by Jenco van Zalk

Starting blocks are on a swimming jetty in the Wolderwijd near Zeewolde in Flevoland. The top has a contrasting waffle-and-glass structure to prevent slipping. The swimming jetty has been constructed in the Wolderwijd near the beach to be able to swim in the water with a considerable depth of approximately 3 meters.
