About ‘Volcanic expanse’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

A silence that seems older than any memory lies amongst the black lava blocks of the caldera. Montaña Guajara rises on the horizon like a weathered sentinel of fire and time – 2,715 metres of solidified embers, shaped by the Earth’s mighty forces. Its rugged crater walls stand out sharply against the endless blue of the sky, as if wind and sun had carved their own stories into stone here over millennia.
The Caldera de las Cañadas, this vast volcanic caldera in the heart of Teide National Park, feels both alien and familiar. Every rock tells of explosions, of lava flows and of the slow breath of the volcanoes. Yet despite its barren wildness, a peculiar tranquillity hangs over this landscape. No dense forest, no rushing water distracts the eye – only light, shadow and the endless play of forms.
On Tenerife, in the heart of the Canary Islands, Europe suddenly seems far away. Here, in the Parque Nacional del Teide, a world of stone and sky opens up, archaic and almost otherworldly. Standing amongst these dark lava rocks, one feels how small a human being is – and how vast time is.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
