About ‘Visserboten bij Rameswaram vangen het laatste zonlicht’ by Juriaan Wossink

Rameswaram is onderdeel van de Indiase staat Tamil Nadu bevindt zich met zijn ligging op Pamban eiland op slecht 50 km. afstand van Sri Lanka. Naast een van de heiligste Hindoeïstisch bedevaartsoorden is het een vissersplaats, waar de boten iedere nacht uitvaren, om de volgende ochtend vangst aan wal te brengen. Boten als die op de voorgrond van de foto worden gebruikt om de vangst van de gemotorieerde boten tot aan het strand te brengen.

De foto is genomen op 20 oktober 2007 in Rameswaram, India
