If you zoom the lens in or out during a long exposure, you can achieve a so-called "zoom burst" effect. This effect creates a kind of motion blur that radiates outwards from the centre of the image, giving the photo a dynamic, dreamlike and almost surreal quality. The technique was simulated here on the computer to create an almost abstract image in which colours and shapes are psychedelically distorted.
