About ‘View of Vlieland at Cape North, Texel’ by Wim van der Geest
Kaap Noord is one of the most famous pavilions on Texel. It is the northernmost pavilion, just past the lighthouse. You can sit outside and see the neighboring island of Vlieland on the other side of the Wadden Sea. With a bit of luck a seal swims by. The ferry to Vlieland, De Vriendschap, has its starting point close to this pavilion.

Al sinds de middelbare school (en dat is al een heel tijdje geleden) fotografeer ik. Met mijn krantenwijk een spiegelreflex camera en lenzen aangeschaft. Ook ontwikkelen en afdrukken van de foto's deed ik zelf. Iets wat tegenwoordig bijna niet meer voorkomt.
