Tilburg was once an extremely Catholic city. You can still see that because there is a church building in just about every street and on every corner. There are still a lot of them, and that actually has its charm in this changing world. This is the Goirkese Church on the Goirkestraat, not from the street side, but from the silent adjacent cemetery. Here I saw people from previous centuries, and sometimes even younger than myself. And then you reflect on your own finiteness.
