A tribute to Damien Hirst (1965) he is a British artist, entrepreneur and art collector. He is world famous for his shocking artworks. In 1991 he made the news with his 'shark in strong water'. Hirst is best known for his work 'For the Love of God', a skull encrusted with 8,601 diamonds. His works of art are always controversial and still popular. In 1986 he started with the "spot paintings". These are canvases on which spheres are depicted in different numbers and colours. In 25 years' time, some 1,400 spot paintings have been produced. Only 5 of these were made by Hirst himself. The rest were made by his assistants.
