"Caught in a "cage": orange berry in a lantern (Physalis)" is a macro photo of an orange berry of the Lantern plant (Physalis). This orange berry is still inside the lantern, which is almost digested, you can almost only see the vein structure. Because a shallow depth of field was chosen and the focus is light on the vein structure, located in front of the orange berry, it looks as if the berry is trapped behind this structure. The sharpness decreases from this point, creating depth in the work.
Due to the editing and the incidence of light in this picture, it looks like the vein structure of the lantern is made of some kind of metal (if you zoom in a little, you can see this). It has taken on an almost silver-gold colour. The orange berry also seems to have one metallic look. Despite being a natural object, it looks almost industrial.
This piece could, for example, hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the dining room, kitchen, hall or just above the sofa in the living room!
(Or as wall decoration on the wall in a waiting room, office or meeting room (business).
