About "The sculpted flanks of Mount Batok in Java"

About the artwork

Dominating the Tengger caldera, Mount Batok rises like a perfect cone at the foot of the famous Mount Bromo, on the island of Java in Indonesia. Unlike its still active neighbour, Batok is an extinct volcano, covered in fine striations and sparse vegetation that emphasise the raw beauty of its slopes. The regular lines descending from its summit evoke a natural architecture, shaped by centuries of erosion, wind and volcanic ash.
In the golden light of the morning, its slopes take on warm tones, oscillating between ochre and green, while the horizon reveals the surrounding volcanic hills. The contrast between the rough texture of the ground and the softness of the sky gives this landscape an almost spiritual dimension. The Batok is also a sacred place for the Tengger people, who see it as a protective mountain and take part in traditional ceremonies in the region.
This site, emblematic of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, embodies serenity in the midst of nature shaped by fire. A place of contemplation where you can feel both the strength and the peace that emanate from Indonesian volcanoes.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
