About the artwork

The Mintered Garden stretches across the picturesque region in the mid-south of England, and the sight of it left a deep impression on my artistic soul. When I visited this enchanting landscape paradise, I was mesmerised by its timeless beauty and the enormous scale of the park. I found inspiration for my artwork in the breathtaking views of this expansive garden, which is actually more like a park.

After returning to Berlin, I immersed myself in the sketches I had made on site and began working on fascinating paintings in the studio to capture the impressions and emotions of this extraordinary place.

Although the present painting may seem unremarkable at first glance, it conceals an extraordinary fascination that reveals itself on closer inspection. The fine details of the leaves, the mysterious shading under the majestic trees and the organic surface of the pond are extremely inviting and give the painting a calming presence. The sky is revealed in an unusual turquoise, which is characteristic of my penchant for bold colours and colour combinations.

Combining the elements of water, lake, wind, trees, leaves, tree, reflection, shore, summer and body of water, the painting invites you to capture the magic of the Mintered Garden on your walls and open a window to this idyllic English landscape.
