About ‘The first light’ by Peter Kuipers

This photo was taken at sunrise on the beach at Nes, at a moment when the day is slowly coming to life. The first sunlight reflects off the wet sand, casting a warm golden glow over the beach. What makes this image special to me are the small details that you only really notice when you pause for a moment: the foam of the receding waves, the fine textures in the sand and the long lines of light stretching towards the horizon.

The inspiration for this photograph came from the tranquillity that an early morning by the sea brings. Whilst the island is still quiet, an almost serene atmosphere emerges, in which only the sound of the waves and the fresh sea air are present. It was precisely that feeling of silence and freedom that I wanted to capture. For me, the rising sun symbolises a new beginning and brings warmth and energy to the image.

By shooting low down on the beach, extra depth is created and the viewer is drawn into the landscape. The contrast between the dark sand, the white foam and the soft morning light gives the photograph a powerful yet tranquil feel. In an interior, this work brings warmth, space and a relaxed coastal feel. A timeless image for lovers of the sea, nature and the unique atmosphere of Ameland.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
