Sony Centre or Das Center in Berlin, Potsdamer Platz:
The artwork "Sony Center am Potsdamer Platz" shows the impressive roof structure of the building complex of the same name in Berlin. At the centre is the radial pattern of the roof structure with its striking opening in the middle. The filigree steel girders and translucent material allow daylight to shine through and create an interplay of light and lines. The reflection of the structure on the glass façade of a neighbouring building is particularly fascinating - it doubles the motif and reinforces the symmetry.
The inspiration for this work came to me when I looked upwards - a change of perspective that transforms the architecture into an almost graphic motif. I was attracted by the combination of technical precision and visual lightness.
The atmosphere is clear, structured and open at the same time. I wanted to create an image that combines calm and dynamism - a moment of architectural balance.
The message lies in the beauty of the construction: how technology and design intertwine to define space and guide perception.
In interior design, this work acts as an architectural statement. It fits particularly well in modern, light-flooded rooms and gives them depth, structure and a touch of urban sophistication.
