About ‘The Skelligs, Kerry, Ireland’ by aidan moran

Two sharp, craggy Islands lie on the horizon. On the left is Skellig Michael famous of its 7th century monastery, its spectacular scenery and its lighthouse. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it has been a place of pilgrimage for almost 1500 years, and has been an inspiration for artists and writers. The islands are home to seals and other marine life as well as hundreds of thousands of seabirds. Little Skellig supports a colony of more than 50,000 gannets.
The Skelligs were feature in the Star Wars movies, The Force Awakens and Star Wars 8, The Last Jedi. County Kerry, Ireland.
