Weather conditions often determine the energy and atmosphere that can evoke an image. The threat of a thunderstorm is such a circumstance par excellence. From the pier, which juts out into the Atlantic Ocean at Saint-Jean-de-Mont (Vendée), you have a wonderful view of the oncoming squall.
The seagull that flies by with slow wing beats seems to care little about the rapidly changing weather conditions. Less than fifteen minutes later, the shower reached the mainland and we had to take shelter from a heavy downpour.
The composition of a still calm ocean in combination with the threatening thunderstorm determine the atmosphere of the photo, which will do well in a hallway of both a modern and classic interior.
