I discovered this beautiful Marbled White butterfly in midsummer on a dry meadow with tall grass.
From a distance it looks black and white, which is why it is also called a checkerboard butterfly. However, if you look closer, it is actually dark brown and white.
With its great pattern, it stands out especially well in the pastel-beige landscape of the dry meadow.
This has created a calm and idyllic image that sets the butterfly beautifully in focus.
I see the extraordinary in the ordinary.
