Seen from Zoetermeer, The Hague's skyline or city silhouette against the orange sky is a beautiful sight. Hague architecture The Nieuwe Haagse School can be recognised by its overhanging roofs and straight and cubist forms. Characteristic features are the horizontal lines of gable bands above window frames, bay windows and balconies, urban cohesion and symmetry. A special feature was that for large housing complexes designed by different architects, architects appointed by the municipality, such as Co Brandes, only designed the facades. As a result, large housing blocks within the Hague School often formed a single entity, which led to much unity in the streetscape. Attention was also paid to the entrance to the houses by using tiled terraces and brick garden walls.
In de wereld van fotografie ben ik mij gaan toeleggen op portretfotografie in een warme romantische stijl. Met beperkt natuurlijk of kunst licht probeer ik de sfeervolle portretten in de sfeer van de oude meesters zoals bijvoorbeeld Rembrandt en Vermeer te benaderen.
