The images in The Fields series show a strange nature, a field with indefinable species of flowers and plants in bloom, but also in decay. Both are of special beauty and I try to capture these two moments in one image.
In many images in the series, the species of flowers and plants are not recognisable but give the feeling of a lush field. That is what I am looking for.
From dozens to sometimes hundreds of images, generated by AI tools, a selection is made and layered on top of each other until a new composition emerges, working with transparencies, dark contrasts, soft transitions and bright colours.
I try to create a new world that evokes memories of fields full of flowers, grasses and plants. Working from a low vantage point creates an intimacy with the subject, as if you were standing between them.
The sometimes baroque, dreamy images fit into rural, classic or vintage styles as well as sleek interiors.
