About ‘The Eiger, on a summer day’ by Reinier Holster

I took this picture during our summer holiday in 2025. All the famous mountain peaks were clearly visible that day, and even though the weather was not ideal for photography, I am very satisfied with this image.

From the First in Grindelwald, you can take a nice walk, via Waldspitz to Bort. The further you descend, the closer you feel to the Eiger. I made this image just before our arrival at Waldspitz; my attention was caught by the two paragliders gliding above the valley. The Eiger emerges beautifully, towering powerfully above all the other mountains.

In my Switzerland album you will find several photos of the Eiger, and more are added every year. It remains an impressive mountain with its steep Nordwand.
