The Blauwbrug in Amsterdam takes its name from the previous bridge with blue bridge railings . The bridge dates from 1883 and is adorned with beautiful ornaments, including lanterns and crowns. The bridge connects Waterlooplein and the Stopera with Amstelstraat. This work shows one of these beautiful ornaments. In the background one can see the Stopera building which houses Amsterdam's town hall and the opera. The Moses and Aaron Church is also just visible.
