The Aurora-7 Incident

by INGO

Step into a breathtaking miniature world where science fiction and nostalgia come together. On a mysterious, alien planet, the gigantic exploration ship ‘Aurora-7’ has crashed at the foot of an epic castle and thundering waterfalls. Amidst the wreckage, a full-scale salvage operation is in full swing. Dozens of tiny minifigures and futuristic vehicles are working together to stabilise the ship, whilst two main characters analyse the situation. This piece invites you to keep looking; the longer you look, the more hidden details and little stories you’ll discover in this vibrant, mechanical world.

This unique artwork lies at the intersection of pop culture, science fiction and digital technology. The work officially falls within the genres of Brick Art (building block art) and 3D Pixel Art. The texture and geometry of iconic plastic building blocks are combined with the cinematographic lighting and large-scale world-building found in modern anime and cyberpunk cinema. The result is a hyper-detailed, three-dimensional digital composition with a tactile texture and a profound sense of sharpness and scale.
