About ‘Tennis Court.’ by PEEQ.

Culemborg was briefly world-famous when, in 1868, the Kuilenburg railway bridge was put into use; its span of about 154 metres was the longest in the world at the time. To get the high bridge over the river Lek, a railway dike had to be built; Culemborg station came to be situated at the bottom of the slope and thus far outside the city. In the second half of the 19th century, the construction of the railway Utrecht - Boxtel (the now replaced railway bridge of 1868) was an important stimulus for the industrial development of Culemborg. Especially the cigar- and furniture industry were booming at that time.

The fireworks disaster in Culemborg took place on February 14, 1991. A warehouse with fireworks of the company MS Vuurwerk at the Diefdijk exploded. There were 2 fatalities (the daughter of the owner and his son-in-law), 20 wounded and there was extensive material damage for miles around.

In the tenth year of the 21st century Culemborg is extended at the west side of the city with the new housing estate Parijsch.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
