About ‘Taktsang Monastery’ by Andrea Ooms

View of the Taktsang Monastery, also known as tiger nest in Bhutan. The monastery is centuries old and tightly built against the mountainside. The myth is therefore that it is built with the help of a flying tiger, hence the nickname, the tiger nest. After an impressive walk, uphill, where the monastery koopes getting closer you come to this point, you're almost there. You are at the same height. But then you have to go down with stairs and back up to the monastery. Over this valley are very many prayer flags.
