The Silvretta is a mountain massif in the Austrian states of Tyrol and Vorarlberg and the Swiss canton of Graubünden. The mountain massif is part of the Rätische Alps. These Rätische Alps are a mountain range that is part of the Central Alps of the Eastern Alps.

The Hochmaderer is one mountain in this part of the Alps, so an Alp.

Edward Theodore Compton, usually referred to as E. T. Compton, (July 29, 1849 - Feldafing, Bavaria, Germany March 22, 1921) was a German artist, illustrator and mountaineer born in England. He is known for his paintings and drawings of alpine landscapes and as a mountaineer he made 300 major climbs, including no less than 27 first climbs. In 1867 his family decided to emigrate to Germany and settle in Darmstadt.
