About ‘Swan’ by Marjolein Deelen

Hi, lovely to have you here!♥

Here’s another photo of the swan – I’ve managed to capture so many beautiful and perhaps even special moments with him!♥ Sadly, though, as he lived to be well over 25 years old and had had a lovely life, he suddenly disappeared! He was a wild swan who’d come when you called him but also kept his distance! He’d eat out of your hand but always tried to grab your fingers at the same time – and boy, did that hurt! He’d fly over to me when I whistled, half through the water or just taking off from the ditch or from the air, first flying a circle around me! He’d come with tremendous force, especially when he was half in the water, and he’d usually stop right in front of me at the water’s edge, often splashing my lens! As you can see, he was always looking at me! What an impression he made every single time – truly amazing! He and his mate (together all those years) were always around us; she’s grown old too! Together they had a brood every year, and I was allowed to get close to them up to a certain point – a boundary I naturally respected! We’ll never forget the pair, and thankfully they gave me so many opportunities for photo's te maken en ik weet dat dit uniek is en geniet dan ook van iedere foto die ik heb kunnen maken! Inmiddels zin we 5 jaar verder en missen ze nog steeds maar gelukkig hebben we de foto's and warm memories!

I have a few large prints hanging in my home, and I’d love for every swan lover to see them – I hope you enjoy them just as much as I do (we – the whole family – were mad about this special pair!) ♥♥

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
