This image is a photo of an oil painting on a canvas painting canvas.
The size of the original painting is w x h x d: 70 x 50 x 2 cm.
It was later given a varnish layer.
The inspiration for this painting came from a stunning photograph of a sunset with its accompanying beautiful colours in the sky caused by the low-lying sun and by Rayleigh scattering.
Rayleigh scattering is the scattering of light by particles smaller than the wavelength of light.
This picture was taken as a starting point and used purely as inspiration. The painting is highly abstracted from the starting point in terms of shape and colours; the photograph.
The painting and photo of the painting and digital data processing were carried out by The Hammer.
The Hammer hopes you can appreciate the work!
