About ‘Summer in France’ by Kees van den Burg

Walking on a summer day in a French park is a painting inspired by French artist Camille Pissarro.

Camille Pissarro was a French painter and one of the important figures in the development of Impressionism. He was born on 10 July 1830 on the island of St Thomas, then under Danish rule and now part of the US Virgin Islands. Pissarro is often considered the "father of Impressionism" because of his influential role in this art movement.

He mainly painted landscapes and peasant scenes, and his work is characterised by the use of vibrant colours and the depiction of light effects. Along with artists such as Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir and Edgar Degas, Pissarro helped shape the Impressionist style, which was characterised by capturing momentary impressions and the changeable nature of nature.

Pissarro's work has had a lasting impact on art history and is still admired by lovers of painting around the world.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
