Straw flower in bud just after a bright rainstorm where the straw flowers close completely by themselves to protect the seeds from the rain and blowing out too early or hitchhiking with insects.
Deep yellow in colour with some water droplets still visible. The green in the drops is the reflection of the flower's green surroundings. What can be seen beautifully is the structure of the petals that slide together like aperture lamellae to protect the inside of the flower.
Note that this is a macro photo and at the front of the flower is in focus, the focus fades further back. The drop halfway through is just out of focus. This does give the feeling of being very close to look at the flower.
