This still life is made after the many masterpieces of the Middle Ages. It shows walnuts, grapes, pomegranates and pewter tableware. I tried to make the fruit look as appetising and authentic as possible, as you might find it on any table around 1600. Work was photographed in 1 shot with studio light. Colour has been minimally touched up in Photoshop. Still lifes are traditionally particularly decorative. My intention is for it to look so appetising that you are tempted to take a bite out of the picture. In this case, the colour scheme from blue/black to red is very deliberate. The main colour is red/orange and further shades of black, grey and blue. The red fruit gives this work a lot of warmth and a pleasant look.
