About ‘Still Water by Robert Diez’ by Fotografie René Weber
The twin fountains were designed by Robert Diez between 1887 and 1894 and cast in the Bierling Art and Bell Foundry in Dresden. The eastern fountain (Still Water) survived the destruction of the war in 1945. Its counterpart (Stormy Waves) was badly damaged, and the remains were put into storage after the war.
