Steam icebreaker 'Stettin' - casting off manoeuvres with steam power - a pure adventure trip through the Bay of Wismar out into the Bay of Mecklenburg and the open sea. For many years, it has been a regular tradition in the Hanseatic city of Wismar for the steam icebreaker Stettin to be a guest at the annual harbour and Swedish festival. It invites visitors to an open ship and trips on the open sea through the beautiful Bay of Wismar. The Stettin is a coal-fired steam icebreaker. It was built in 1933 by Oderwerke in Stettin, is based in Hamburg and today has the status of a technical cultural monument. Opposite the Stettin is the three-master Albatros, a top-of-the-line sailing schooner from the Clipper fleet of the Deutsches Jugendwerk zur See e.V. The association has been sailing with its four traditional sailing ships since 1973 with many volunteers and guests.
