About ‘Spring romance on Wismar Bay’ by Holger Felix

Today we went on a short spring walk to the former fishing and farming village of Hoben, a district of the Hanseatic city of Wismar. The village is characterised by the thatched roofs of its residential and farm buildings, which are Low German hall houses. Hoben was first mentioned in 1322 under the name Koldenhove. As early as the 16th century, the village was documented as comprising 12 cottages. This historically significant village lies in Wismar Bay, directly on the Baltic Sea. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the inhabitants of Hoben were fishermen who carried out their trade in competition with the fishermen based in Wismar. If you are coming from the Hanseatic city of Wismar and use the Baltic Sea Cycle Route to Lübeck, it leads straight through the village. It is definitely worth stopping there for a photo.

Holger Felix, born 1959, photographer from Wismar, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. I have been taking pictures since I was seven years old. I started with a simple roll film camera in b/w, model Pouva Start from 1952. In my late youth I got my first analog SLR camera. Today I am using products from Canon. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
