I have been coming to Extremadura for years, where peace, space and nature are in full supply, an Eldorado for photographers.
An enormous variety in the form of mountains, dehesa, steppe, holm oaks, cork oaks and not to forget the characteristic old Spanish villages make the area so popular. For this photo of Holm Oaks, which is taken every year, I always try to photograph under different circumstances and always look for a nice composite. The first requirement is that it must be a recently peeled tree, which gives the red color such a nice contrast and in the autumn between the colored ferns. However, this time I clearly wanted to photograph it differently, a bit spooky image. So I used various settings in the camera such as sharpness gradient, aperture scale and white balance.
When you have been photographing for more than 50 years, you can talk about a passion.
