View of the road to the foot of the Solheimajokull. The Sólheimajökull is a glacier in southern Iceland. The glacier is a spur of the great Mýrdalsjökull. The edge of the glacier can be reached via an unpaved road. The melt water is drained off via the Jökulsá river. Hydrogen sulfide (gas) is released during this volcanic activity, which is responsible for the odor.
