Soft Green Hydrangea Flower macro photograph. At the peak of summer as the hydrangea started to bloom I photographed the hydrangea flower at its early blooming stage before the flower transitioned from its soft green color to white. The florets are not quite open yet, creating extra texture in this contemporary macro photograph. I focused on the left and center and the right drops into a backdrop. A pleasant fresh tone on tone pastel green work of art.
The view of this photograph is at a eye-level angle. This gives the viewer the feeling that they are looking directly at this hydrangea flower at eye level.
The atmosphere of this floral is that of a direct eye level view of this flower head. It has a sense of peace, tranquility and quiet.
Macro photography allows me to get close and intimate with my subject matter. It shows the beauty easily overlooked due to our busy lifestyles. My artwork gives the viewer a sense of calm, peace, and relaxation. A reprieve from daily stresses.
As a photographer who comes from the days of film, I do minimal post-processing. Much like I did in the traditional darkroom. I want the viewer to feel like they are right there where my photograph was taken. Creating a visual escape.
